I am looking for family members in Italy related th each of my grandfathers.

1. Pasquale Donnantuoni who came to America in 1908 at the age of 24 from Rofrano

2. Donato Giordano arrived in US in 1911 at the age of 9 from Genzano.

Any info will be greatly appreciated

I have the next info about Donnantuoni from Rofrano:

Raffaele Donnantuoni born in Rofrano 1829, son of 'Pietro Antonio' or 'Paolo Antonio' (difficult to read) and Angela 'Del Garzo' or 'Longarzo' (difficult to read).

Raffaele married twice:
- 1856-08-23 to Catarina Rubano (b.1834 in Valle dell'angelo), daughter of Candeloro & Angela Salerno
- 1862-12-20 to Maria Antonia (b.1842 in Valle dell'Angelo), daughter of Carmine & Eufremia Valiante

Both marriages took place in Valle dell'Angelo about 20Km from Rofrano and I have a copy of the original records if you are interested.

Peter,

My family comes from Rofrano, too. My great-great grandmother was named Maria Donnantuoni, and she married Antonio Caruso. My great-grandmother, Anna Maria Caruso, was born in Rofrano in 1883. I'm looking for more information about my family as well, since I don't know when Maria Donnantuoni was born. It would be great to find out if my ancestors are related to yours! I'll keep you posted if I find out anything else. Good luck with your research!

Hi Peter,

My parents are from Rofrano and immigrated to Australia in '67. My mother is a Donnantuoni. But my uncle [married to my dad's sister] is also a Donnantuoni from Rofrano but are not related. Although not a common name in Rofrano there are a few factions.

I remember my uncle's father who was Compare Pasquale [Donnantuoni] and he would have been born around the 1890's. I will ask my mum and get back to you on the history.

We also have relatives who are still in Rofrano, I will get them to look at the townhall records and report back.

Good luck and we may be distant cousins...

PS I know most of the Donnantuoni's on both sides and you are apart of an intellegent, attractive and all round great bunch!
