My great-great grandfather was Pietro Mendicino. His date of birth is March, 1869, and I know that he was adopted. His arrival date to Pittsburgh, PA was June 15 1892. His ship manifest does not indicate what town he was from.
His wife's (Rose Aiello) ship manfest indicates that she was from Martirano, Calabria, Italy.
If I can somehow confirm that he immigrated from there too, does anyone know how to aquire adoption records?
