This is my first post so I am hoping someone will be able to point me in the right direction.
I have just found out that my family come from Picinisco (as per 1911 census).
They are Giovanni Di Troia
and his wife Philomena Marcantonio
They were born circa 1860 (althought dates vary from census to census).
They lived in Eyre Street Hill, Clerkenwell, London
Any help would be most appreciated.

Wattsy...I found a Filomena DiTroia in the New England and Wales FreeBMD index who was born in 1857 and died in 1915. Would this be your family ?

Thanks for your assistance. It certainly sounds right. Any idea where she died?

Re: New member - help needed please. Di Troia & Marcanto
It says she died in June of 1915 in the Southwark District of Greater London ( the district is according to the 1901 Onw- may be another name by now. I'm in the US so you'll have to look for maps there) It is in Volume 1d of the England and Wales FreeBMD index. I got it from Ancestry.com, but there is nothing else there that I can find. I just saw your post with no answers and decided to try it for you ! If you have any more leads you want to try on Ancestry, contact me....that much I'm proficient in ! Happy hunting ! Islandgal

That is definitely the correct death entry for Philomena Di Troia. I am in UK approx 10 miles from Southwark and you are in US and help me. Thanks so much - the internet is a wonderful thing!
