I am writing to Italy using addresses gleaned from paginebianche.it. My question concerns the actual address. There is a number, followed by the town, with the region in parenthesis. Then, there is, perhaps a name, a comma, and a number. Is the number part of the address, or just part of the search engine's printout.
Example
90043 Camporeale (PA) - Contrada Signorino, 130

Re: Addresses in Italy
The number is a zip code followed by the town name, then (Province initials) followed by street address which contains a number which is part of the street address. The telephonenumber is beneath.

Re: Addresses in Italy
I'm sorry for being so ignorant; do I address the envelope as follows:
Signorino Contrada
130
Camporeale PA 90043
Thanks
Signorino Contrada
130
Camporeale PA 90043
Thanks

Re: Addresses in Italy
The correct formatting is
Persons name
Street name and number
zipcode town name
Italy
In your case
Persons name
Contrada Signorino 130
90043 Camporeale
Italy
Persons name
Street name and number
zipcode town name
Italy
In your case
Persons name
Contrada Signorino 130
90043 Camporeale
Italy
Re: Addresses in Italy
I agree Livio, but shouldn't the Province letters (PA) follow the CAP (zip) code and the town name and thus be:liviomoreno wrote:The correct formatting is

I know all my post shows CAP + town name + Province abbreviation in parentheses....

Re: Addresses in Italy
Not necessarily, the town is identified by the CAP and the by its name, however some times I also add the province.elba wrote:
