We're all always happy to help - especially when we get great feedback like yours :D .

Termine family

Missed this one, Sam & Sarah must have moved from Los angeles to San Diego in 1920 between the two census dates: LA 14 Jan, ,San Diego 30 Jan
This 1920 census indicates that Sam hadn’t naturalized yet
The 1930 census in LA also indicated that Sam hadn’t naturalized by 1930

another 1920 census

Home in 1920:
Farm, Goat Ranch
San Diego, San Diego, California

Sam Termine 29
Sarah Termine 28
Sam Termine 10
Josephine Termine 8
Victoria Termine 7
Victor Termine 3 3/12
Joe Termine 1 8/12
---

edit: added

Salvatore/Sam Termine’s naturalization

Checked both San Diego 1920-1956
http://www.footnote.com/documents/22215 ... o/?xid=319

And Los Angeles 1887-1940
http://www.footnote.com/documents/68904 ... n/?xid=319

For search word Term*

No luck…

Taking a look at the last image you sent, and right under the Termine family is a Troncale family. I do have info that one of Josephine's brothers name was Louis, I wonder if that is him?
Can you send me the next page to see if any other Troncales are listed?

Funny thing, before I knew my family ran a goat farm back in the 20's, I was running one in Colorado!!!

Jaime, goat farming, now that’s a coincidence!
Valarie

Here you go!

1920 Troncale family pg 2

Don't forget to let us know if you think of any more leads.
I've been thru the Louisiana census in 1910 for both Jefferson and Tangipahoa Parishes looking for everyone who should be there from the Termine family (including the Collida's)
No luck.

Looking at that last one gave me a laugh. There is some writing next to the Troncale kids names that looks like "mexican" but shows that both parents were born in Italy!!!!
I haven't been able to find anymore in Louisiana either, but will keep looking.

Thanks again
I was told they may not have started citizenship papers until sometime in the 50's

Post by lilacresfarm »

Can someone please tell me how to view ship manifest? I'm looking for the one that has Jennie Candiotta arriving in New Orleans with primary immigrate listed as Vito Candiotta. Should be between the years of 1896 - 1906.
Thanks for any help

Regardless of the "length" of a thread, please keep one thread open with related ongoing research.
This makes it easier for other members who would like to participate to follow along, rather than jumping between threads for information
and helps avoid duplication of records.

I found a sacramental marriage record for my great grandparents through the Archdiocese in New Orleans. Here is their website: http://www.archdiocese-no.org/archives/

The Jennie Candiotta I am looking for did not sail over with her mother, believe it or not, there were two girls named Jennie. Jennie would have come over just before the 1900 census. One Jennie is abt 4-5 and the one I'm looking for was abt 15 in 1900. I'm trying to find out if the census made a mistake with the name and it should had been Francis, Francesca or something like that.
Thanks for any leads.
Is there a web site to view ship manifest, other than Ellis Island?

Jaime,

Just wondering if the Gioacchina Brancato travelling with Vita and children on the manifest above might be the other Jennie--possibly adopted by the family?
