i've been writing a book about my ancestors. i know my ggrandfather owned a farm either in alvito or rome...his name was giuseppe pellecchia. giuseppe had to be the oldest son (the oldest son would inherit belongings and become "head of the household once the father passed on). the farm was lost in the late 1800's early 1900's because giuseppe's grandson killed or stole a horse....the farm was then given to the owner of the horse for retribution.
i would like to find out if the farm was in alvito or rome and get more history on the farm. can you help?? giuseppe pellecchia had to be born in the 1840's or 1830's (his daughter, rosa was born 1882 and his oldest son was born in 1860)

Re: pellecchia/rosati
Since there are Pellecchia in both Alvito and Roma you will need to do the research to determine where the family originated. You need to start in the USA? and work backwards by checking his entry documents into the country, and naturalization records.
