Rinella/Quattrocchi

Over 25 million Italians have emigrated between 1861 and 1960 with a migration boom between 1871 and 1915 when over 13,5 million emigrants left the country for European and overseas destinations.

Rinella/Quattrocchi

Post by Jsks916 »

I'm trying to find out information on my grandfather, Antonio (Anthony, Tony) Rinella. I'm believing his mother's maiden name was Quattrocchi. Whether his parents came to America or not, I don't know. Tony married Catherine Scalia. I know Tony and Catherine lived in Akron on Bowery Street. I have all that information, but I'm stuck at my grandfather's ancestry. I'm sure his parents were married in Sicily. Rumor in the family is Corleone, but everything else lists Trabia/Palermo.
Where can I look for birth information on my grandfather in Sicily?
Thanks!!

You'll find Antonio/Tony's naturalization information on the following site which has images of the original documents with immigration, birth and marriage details.
Summit County Clerk of Courts Naturalization Records

I'm searching lost relatives and descendant of my greatgrandfather Vincenzo Genualdi (or Gennaldi or Genuardi) and my greatgrandmother Concetta Davola (their sons: Angela, Carmela, Antonio, Bartolomeo, Ernesto, Simone, Riccardo, Maria) went in Chicago,Ill., and New Orleans, in 1880-1920 from Sicily. Other family related : Jacobucci or Jacopucci (from Central Italy).

Thank you Biff. I actually have that, but it doesn't list Tony Rinella's parents.
