Greetings. My family is from Pignola, Italy. The cousins I know for sure of are in Rosario, Santa Fe, Argentina and rest of my direct family live in Veracruz, Veracruz, Mexico.
Pacilio, Trapanese, Petrafesa are other surnames I am interested in.

I have dated back the family name to 1013 A.D. And you what have you found?

Another lead is going to google.com and put in the title the SURNAME, GENEALOGY, (TOWN), (COUNTRY) for any research conducted or being conducted on that surname. =Peter=

Ehi there!!
My father just found your posts (but unfortunately he doesn't speak english), we are VERSARI from Italy, precisely from Forlì, not far from our surname was born. My father is actually writing the story of the family (at least of the origins!). At the moment you can find a group of Versari on Facebook at this address: http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=40810825937 , in the discussion page there's something written by my father.
I promised the translation in english as soon as I have time :)
Btw, if you're interested in more informations just join the group or send me an email: valeversa@libero.it

Hope to be usefull!!
