Anyone written Montecorvino Rovella or Eboli?

Post by DeniseNYC »

Hello!

I am new to the forum. Has anyone written Montecorvino Rovella or Eboli (province Salerno, region Campania) for birth/marriage records?

IF so, would you tell me about your experience?

Also are these the correct addresses:

Comune di Montecorvino Rovella – Campania
Ufficio di Stato Civile
Piazza Padre Giovanni Da Montecorvino
84096, Montecorvino Rovella (SA)
ITALY

Comune di Eboli - Campania
Ufficio di Stato Civile
Via Matteo Ripa
84025, Eboli (SA)
ITALY

Thank you!

Hello ~ !

In case anyone is curious about how to order vital records from the comune of Montecorvino Rovella and finds this thread, I thought I would post my positive results here.

I faxed Montecorvino Rovella based on a fax number, which I found on the following website:

http://www.comuni.it/

At time of writing, the fax number is : 089/808233 .

By mail, I received a birth extract for my great-grandfather nine days after I sent the fax!

Thank you again to everyone for all your assistance with my search.

My best,
Denise

Could you tell me how you requested the information which you faxed.
Did you use a form letter? I am functional in Italian, but not fluent so I would need help composing something, but that is not a problem. How was the postage handled? Considering that 75 % of my maternal line is from this town (and the fact that there is no LDS films available) I would imagine that I would be requesting quite a bit.

I am brand new to this site and I am hopeful that I may gain some insight on how to finally attempt this dead end of my tree.

Thanks,
Cindy

Denise,

What names are you researching in those towns? I have roots in BOTH of those towns, so I'm anxious to see if we have something in common.
