Italian marriage certificate Cerrato/Leva - help reading?

Post by SondraG »

Continuing research on Grizzaffi/Cerrato ancestors, thanks to all who got me this far.

In digging through the marriage records for Allessandria/Asti/Piemonte (Calliano specific), I actually found the marriage certificate for Regina Leva (husband's Great GM) and Francesco Mario Cerrato (a name nobody in the family had ever heard from Grandma Grisafi). I can read some of it, but it's completely handwritten, as the printed book for 1898 ran out of space, and it's at the end of the year (November 28). There's some really valuable information here and I want to make sure I get it all for further research.

Here's what I can make out:

Francesco' s parents : Guiseppe & Monica Marisana (???)

Regina's parents: Gighia (?) di Alesandro (Alesandro on American marriage certificate) & Luigia Casale (Casale also on marriage cert. in America)

Witnesses, I assume: Eugenie Calvera, Carlo Ramallo (??), Luigi Grafffa.

Would appreciate anybody better at deciphering Italian docs to take a swing at this one, any info or dates retrieved immensely appreciated. My eyes are strained from staring at it, lol.

Sondra

A registration is required in order to access the page you are linking. I suggest that you post a picture of the certificate.

Not sure how to make this bigger. Maybe somebody can tell me how to enlarge at Imageshack.

Sorry, novice at uploading images. I'll work on it...

Hey Sondra,
I resize them on my computer first - then I upload them to imageshack without using the size option
