NOFX is a punk band I used to listen to.. I think they were local to the OC, until a few years ago... They called themselves straight edgers which = no drugs. I'm much more mellow now, but I occassionally will still listen to my fun music.

I'm not that cracked up about punk music...although I do listen to
a wide variety of music, rap is also not on my fav list...but Tupac, Nellie,
and 50 cent have a few good tunes. I love what my boys refer to as old
school......one of my favs right now is velvet revolver and linkin park.
montgomery gentry is also pretty good.

Ok, so you don't like the noisy stuff.....what about
Rita Chiarelli, an r & b singer from canada......?

And if your going to bequeath anything, then I would ask for
peace, love and tranquility........

I can't listen to rap too much. My son likes Neil Diamond though, which cracks me up, and thats probably my fault.. I obviously like a very broad range of music.. and here is a secret, I love musicals.. shh don't tell anyone though.

I get the best of both worlds....I have teenage sons, so I get to
listen to the newer stuff, but at the same time I monitor what they listen to. I draw the line on alot of the rap....one because it is vulgar, and two
it can be very deragatory towards women.

At the same time, they get exposed to old school. They know who Al Green is, and even Elton John's older stuff.....

As for musicals....Fiddler on the Roof is my all time favorite....

Al Green! yes, saw him in concert! (before he became a Rev.)

So wldspirit, I guess you have no choice but to listen to Incubus, Blink, LimpB, Ludicris, and Sum... whatever... and when his music gets too loud I just put on my "Ministry" and that leaves him staring at me.... OK OK shut it offffff....
