Need info on Mecchi/Tafanelli from Lucca

Peter was my father's cousin. According to my mother, he spent his latter years as a caretaker of the Catholic Cemetery in Hayward. The descendents of Kenneth Mecchi now live in Orinda, California.

I have a Rosa Mecchi b. ca 1843 in Lucca who married a Bonrturi. After a time in San Francisco, she and her son moved to Arroyo Grande near San Luis Obispo. She is related to the above Lawrence, Kenneth, Peter et al.
