Re: Digorra
Biff that was great. I assume when I finally do locate this mans name you will be able to show me the police dept. he worked for. It definatley give me pride to know a distant relative of mine was such a nobel man. It must not have been in Schnedey that he served, I think the dates are off. But I will look around. I will see my Noni on Easter and get any more info. she can shake from her 82 yr. old memory
. I will also get a picture for you of Florence and post it. So you can put a face with the name of the lady you are helping me find. Much thanks...Jamie

Re: Ditora
Ok So I saw my Noni on Easter and got a little more info from her. GG Florence Vito who was married to a NY Police Officer who was killed in the line of duty. They had two children Louis, and Antonette. He work for in the Bronx, Oneonta or Schnectady police dept. she didnt know which one. Then when he died she married Jim Vito and had Marie Vito, and Helena Vito. She said her Uncle Louis spent alot of time in and out of jail. It would be interesting to find out what for. But I still need to find out what that NY Cops last name was or Florences maiden last name .We still dont know the Joseph, or Gueseppi Viglione that traveled with GGG Grandma Carmela. She thinks he may have died at a young age before she was born in 1926. Florence died in her 50's of high blood pressure, Jim died in a car accident in his 50s. And Carmela died in her 90s. My Noni said Angelina had remodeled the house a bit and Carmela couldnt see so well, she took a fall down the stairs and died of head injuries. I will post some pictures so you can see the people you have been helping me locate. Thanks again and Happy Easter...
