Re: Mezza family

Hi Livio

I'd love to get all your family's details and exchange information. I'll send you a private message with my e mail address.

Lucky you, going back to Casalattico! I've been just once (met your cousin Silvana, but not Fernando) and am planning to go back in the near future.

Look forward to ...

Re: Mezza family

Hi Livio

So great to hear from you, particularly as we are related!

I need to confirm this, but I believe your Great Great Great Great Grandfather, Nicola Mezza, and my GGG Grandfather, Giuseppe Mezza, were brothers.

I have been piecing together the Mezza connections for a long time and am more ...

Re: Casalattico Cemetery - Fusco & Macari Mother and Father

Hi Stephanie

Not withstanding the info provided by Marty about grave transfers, the cemetery in Casalattico is just below the village and worth a visit even if your relatives have been 'moved on'. There is, of course, also the chance that their graves are still there, if there are family members ...

Re: Macari Family - Casalattico to Scotland

Hi again

I have one other possibility, a Luigi Antonio Macari born 25 Feb, 1884, which I know is earlier than you think, but quite often people didn't know their exact year of birth, so don't discount it altogether! His father was Antonio Macari, born 13 June 1851, and his mother was Maria Giustina ...

Re: Macari Family - Casalattico to Scotland

Hi Stephanie

Some information I have fits with your family.

Angelantonio (probably shortened to Antonio) Macari born 29 Dec 1839 married Maria Civita Macari, born 11 Nov 1841. Their children were Crescenzo (definitely immigrated to Scotland and 2 of his children were named Pietro and Antonio ...

Re: Mezza family

Hi Pauline

Lovely to hear from you and, yes, I know who your family are - I've previously been in touch with another relative of yours who is the granddaughter of your mother's brother, Alfonso. She lives in Sligo, Ireland.

Your great, great, great, great grandfather was Nicola Mezza, whose ...

Re: Mezza family

Hi Bea

So sorry for the delay in responding, but equally good to meet you.
I 'know' you in theory from research Paul Mathews has done!!

I don't have Maria Antonia's birth certificate, but her date of birth is accurate (based on other Italian records) which I can send you. Have a look here: http ...

Re: Cafolla Family

Hi Jamie

Which Iolanda are you referring to? Is it the one referenced above? If so, then she was a Cafolla (parents Carmine Cafolla/Maria Felice Mezza) who married a Burrows.

The surname you may be thinking of though is Magliocco - lots of connections between the Cafollas, Mezzas and Maglioccos ...

Hi Stuart

I've asked a friend of mine to have a look, as her mum has a Scottish Capaldi connection. Will let you know if she comes up with anything.

Re: Forte family, Alina, Frossinone

Hi

You might like to have a look at this web site:
http://fortefamilyhistory.com/Family_Tree.html

and perhaps email its creator, Paul - he's done a huge amount of research on the Forte and related families from that area and is extremely helpful and generous with his knowledge!

Re: Mezza family

Hi Joe

'Casa' could well be Casalattico and I know for sure that some of the Mezza family ended up settling in Detroit (from memory, I think I tracked a Livio Mezza to there) and others certainly spent time there (including my great uncle Lorenzo Mezza).

Do you have any more details on your ...

Re: Luparia/Morelli/Marcantonio

I have no info on the Luparia name, unfortunately, and haven't come across it in my research (I live in Belfast) but wondered if the family stayed in Ireland? If so, you may have some luck looking for death certificates through the General Registrars Office, or even finding a family grave can be ...
