I went to the website. You have done a lot of work. I saw you have my uncle Alberto and my aunt Giovanna listed. They both passed away within the last ten years. My cousins Silvana and Fernando are both still in Casalattico. I am going there next May for a visit. I guess you can add me and my brother Antonio to the chart.

Hi Livio

I'd love to get all your family's details and exchange information. I'll send you a private message with my e mail address.

Lucky you, going back to Casalattico! I've been just once (met your cousin Silvana, but not Fernando) and am planning to go back in the near future.

Look forward to hearing from you.

Best wishes

Ursula

You live in Belfast? Is there a tie-in to the Mezza's in this 1901 Ireland census?

This is my Great Grandparents on this census that I'm trying to find out more. My grandmother is also listed on here along with sisters. I'm in search of anyone related to my Great Grandfathers side. The Mezza side I have contacts with the Forte Family from my Great Grandmothers side. Also trying to find anything out about my Grandmothers husband Tommaso Mezza. I have a post down above with all the dates. charday8

I came across your posting and decided to comment.

My family name is Mezza and we are from Detroit, MI.
Mom & Dad were born here in America but their parents were born in Italy. My mothers family (Mastrogiovanni) is from a village somewhere outside of Rome. Before my father died, I asked him about where my grand-parents lived in Italy. He said they came from a village called Casa. I tried looking for it on the Italian map, but could never find it. So, after reading your posts here, I'm thinking it might actually be Casalattico.

My Grandfathers name was Francis Mezza and married Angelina Appolito.
They had two sons in Detroit, Michigan ...Tom Mezza & Louis Mezza

Let me know what you think about this.

Thanks,
Joe
Hey Joe, Grandpa Frank Mezza married Angelina Ponciroli (Appolito was our maternal grandmother's maiden name - Teresa Appolito). Our Grandma Angelina came from Cujione (or something like that) in Italy (Lombardy)

I have a Mezza family member in my family line. A John Mezza (b. Sept 20, 1928 - d. Jan 2000) lived in Utica NY and married a family member in my Sgroi family line. He was a semi-pro baseball player back in the day.

Robert Mezza who lives in Tennessee is my brother. He is the oldest of ten children born to Louis Mezza and Carmella (nee Mastrogiovanni) Mezza, of Detroit. My dad's parents were Frank & Angelina (nee Ponciroli) Mezza, both from Cujione (sp?) Lombardia, Italy. They had two sons, my dad Louis & his younger brother, Tom Mezza.
