Thank you Erudita.
Interesting that two of the witnesses were priests. I also noticed that Giuseppe who was the last person was the mayor. I guess the Arnone family were a known family at that time.
On a side note, you helped me with the marriage of Paolino Arnone on Sept 13, also from Marineo ...

Another Marineo marriage; Francesco Arnone and Grazia Profida
Hello,
Below is the link for the 1835 marriage for Francesco Arnone and Grazia Profida.
Page 821 -
Looks like the birth for Francesco Arnone. Looks like his name is Francesco Nicolo Mariano which is new to me. Are the last two lines the witnesses? Last line almost looks like Soro?

What is the occupation?
Hello everyone,
I'm having an issue deciphering the occupation for Paolino on the 1849 and 1857 births. 1856 marriage looks like the same occupation for Paolino and his father Francesco. Looks to be either sailor/seaman or even a mason.
Thoughts?
Thank you
Chris

Re: Paolino Arnone and Cira Greco 1856 Marineo Marriage
I want to thank you both for all this information. I cannot wait to summarize it all into one chapter in my family book.
On a side note, it is a shame Paolino's mother is not known. When I first started research, there is a marriage for Paolino's father Francesco to Grazia Profida in 1835. I also ...

Re: Paolino Arnone and Cira Greco 1856 Marineo Marriage
Hello Erudita,
After reading through all the information again, I have more questions. May I ask additional questions.
It mentions Anna Maria Greco as the mid-wife. She is the one who assisted the unknown mother with the delivery of Paolino or was she the one taking care of Paolino as a baby ...

1626 Capaci Riveli
Hello everyone,
Attached is the 1626 Riveli for Violanta Lucido from Capaci. Unfortunatley the link is no longer available.
The underlined area looks like Petro Lucido, does it mention how he is related to Giacomo Lucido who was the husband of Violanta
Thanks
Chris

Re: 1748 Marineo riveli
Very interesting.
Thank you both.
I am curious why Ciro had his son the Deacon reveal the information to the tax collector. It is almost like Ciro was looking for a little extra benefit knowing his son was a Deacon.
