thanks again peter and johnny...I'll keep searching....

I got to 1803 today...family still in Perry, Cumberland, PA, USA. Guess I'm getting somewhere...(year-wise) - but no one has left the county for a long time!!!

just spoke to my grandfather and mentioned the surname spellings...he said that he recalls someone giving him the surname of FINGUE ??? I think the two names you both have provided seem more accurate - but thought I'd let you know...just incase.
