Thanks Suanj for the clarification but the question is can anyubody request an Act or a birth record from the provincial archives in the same way you can when you write to the comune ??? This is the question. Peter

Hi Peter: if someone is again living can to request its acts or birth record, or, if are in relationship of an died or living person(but parent), can request all acts and birth records of all time and in all offices and archivies..
-if someone not are in relationship can request only 70 years back(for italian privacy law all acts and certificate are public records)...
