Di Lillo & Ginocchi

[danbergkruff]

I'm looking for help as I get started researching my family from Italy.
Here's (most of) what I know about these people before they came to the USA.

Alfredo (Fred, Alfred) DI LILLO (LILLO)
parents names: Peter and Angeline Lillo
birth: 15 March 1885, Italian South
Last residence: looks like "Vitnilago" ?
Im. June 1905 from Naples to NYC on the Algeria
went to join cousin in Ohio
Had a sister in Italy noted in his obituary in 1965

Rosa (Rosaria) GINOCCHI (GINOCHI)
par. Anthony Ginocchi and Philomena Fassoni
b. 15 Dec 1890 or 29 Dec 1898, 1897 (?), Italian South
last residence: "Baia Lat"
Im. with her brother Angelo in 1906 from Napoli to NYC on the Sicilia
went to join sister in PA

Thanks for any advice.

The other town is Baia e Latina, also in Caserta Province

There are microfilmed records available for the town of Baia e Latina. You need to go to a local Family History Center at an Latter Day Saints church to rent the films. For this town, the records go from 1809-1929. The cost for the rental is about $5.50 a roll of film. It takes about 2 to 3 weeks normally for the microfilm to arrive at your local center for you to use. To see if there is a center near your home, go to

Between 1928-1946 Vitulazio was known as Villa Volturno.

There are also microfilmed records for this town available for rental through a local LDS family history center for the same years as the other town.
