I'll look for censuses on the family... and additional manifests for Carlo and Francesca... single and married and see what I find...

Maybe we'll get lucky :-)

When was the oldest child born?

The oldest child was:
William Richards--around 1914 ?, in East Kingston, NY.
Earl Richards around 1916? in East Kingston, NY
Joseph around 1918? in East Kingston, NY
Filamegna around 1920, Schenectady, NY
Anna around 1922, Schenectady, NY
Antoinette in 1930, Hudson, NY

Geez, thanks for your help. I really appreciate it beyond words.

Do you know if Carlo and Francesca were married in Italy or US?

Where in US did they live?

1930 Census for "Charles Richards" and family (everyone mentioned above) in Hudson, Columbia co. NY

http://img59.imageshack.us/img59/1694/richardsu.jpg

Charles stated that he immigrated in 1900 (so the 1899 manifest is a good candidate :-) ) and Frances states that she immigrated in 1905... a clue for when to look...

Children approximate birthdates... William in 1907, Earl in 1912, Joseph in 1915, Fannie (Filomena) 1919, Anna 1921, and Antoinette on the way...

Found Francesca!!!! (At least it looks VERY good to be her :-) )

Arriving in 1901 with her mother and siblings from Raniano (sp?) going to her father Tommaso Mirabelli in Glasco, NY.

Mother Antonia Cammarota, 50
Mirabelli children:
Teresa, 20
Giuseppe, 18
Francesca, 15
Luigi (?), 9

On the line below is Rosina Mirabelli, going to husband (can't read the name) in Glasco, NY

Wowie. How do you do it??
Never knew she had 3 siblings and the father was here already. My mother said she had siblings:Rose and Teresa. Wonder if that Rose was a sibling? ANd, she said her mother's parents were Thomas and ANtoinette (alias Tommasso and Antonio).

Yes, I'll try a marriage certificate from Ulster County records, possibly Kingston.

Amazing how you did that.
