Listing of germanic sounding italian name

Post by Internaute123 »

Hi related to my other post in a family search about "Frank", I am exploring family surnames of northern italy

I need a list of surnames - but websites only permit to search for specific names
And I do not know the name I am looking for

This is because an old aunt remembers it is of germanic origin, short . She can't rembember the name but would recall it if she'd hear it.

Do you have suggestions or links that could be useful ?

Grazie mille

I have some Germanic type names on my website about Trentino genealogy --- www.trentinoheritage.com
This area was under Austrian rule for a very long time. The Frank name was more than likely Franch.
Researching Iob (Job, Yob), Dalpiaz, Zanon in villages of Cunevo and Flavon (Trentino) and Romano in Spadafora (Sicily).
