Benedetta was a "spuria" (spurious). This means that she was an illegitimate daughter, but in the record it's not written the parent's name. It says:

I wonder if the B. Spuria is the same B. Suri who was married to Gis. Scianni? The quset continues, and could not have been possible without you!

Just found this record and I believe it is for Benedicta, and may further explain her history. Can u please translate to English. It may show that her parents were unknown, but yet does not show that Leone raised her. I suspect it says a lot more...
