Help Translating GGrandfather's Military Docs
Help Translating GGrandfather's Military Docs
Hi I just received my Great-Grandfather's WWI military record from the State Archives in Ascoli Piceno. I sent an email only a week ago and already received a response. My dad said my ggrandfather was a cook for his military unit. I would really appreciate any information you can tell me about these documents. Unfortunately the files are too big so I can only attach one at a time. Thank you for your assistance!

Re: Help Translating GGrandfather's Military Docs
Thank you for your help! The timeline makes sense. I found his arrival record in Canada in 1905. He spent 9 years working there and in the US. Then he returned to Italy by 1914 to marry my great grandmother and then he was called up to serve. He returned to the US in 1920 to work. Thanks again! I really appreciate it!

He's born in Fermo. He was in S.Elpidio a Mare at the time of call for arms.
No links to Porto S.Elpidio.
It also exposes a migration Fermo->S.Elpidio-a-Mare between 1888-1907.
