So it appears he changed his name to James? And also my grandfather....his name was Vincent or Vincenzo but per the census it looks like his name is James De Lorenzo (in 1930 - age 6, that makes sense as he was born 1925). Also correct area of where my family still resides.
One question here: Is there a link to view the 1910, 1920 and 1930 pages of these records (we previously did not look at 1910 records - I think it would be in NYC then?)? I have to obtain certified copy for the consulate and it is asking for information such as parish/ward, township, county, page number, enumeration district, etc. I think I will need to look at the 1910 census to see the name and when it changed as I presume I will have to prove the name change and it's the same person. I will definitely need 1920 to prove the name change for 1930, which is the one I need to prove my grandfather's relation to my great grand-father and also proving no naturalization is listed. I will order 1920 and 1930 and also 1910 if there are changes on that form as well.

Thanks again!

In USA James is used also for italian first name Vincenzo.. here the 1920 census, you can save the copy https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1 ... cc=1488411
and here the 1930 census:
https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.3.1/T ... cc=1810731
just a moment to find the 1910 census..
ok?

Hi, on the1909 ship's manifest of Vincenzo's son, Ferdinando, the Vincenzo home was in Mechanicville, Saratoga, New York, United States and ditto on the 1911 ship's manifest of Alessandra Faicchio, but I cannot find Vincenzo and Ferdinando on 1910 census of Mechanicville, Saratoga, New York, United States ... :(

Hi Suanj!

I just made my appointment at the consulate and will be working for all of these documents. I have 10 months. I have received the "no records found" form and reached out to the secondary (one of the immigration places) stated on the form, who instructed me I have to go to the local courthouse to check there. I may have some questions (if you are familiar with that part vs just being a rockstar on the research part :P ).

I did want to find out however, is my family that has this lineage qualified?

Great Grandfather -> Grandfather - > Mother - > Son

My lineage is the same as his but with a Father and daughter

Great Grandfather - > Grandfather - > Father - > Daughter

My family has to apply in NY while I have to apply in Miami so they will all set up different appointment times and if the wait in NY is 2 years, I want them to set the appointment now :)

Thank you!
