My friend recently messaged me is...."My grandfather seems to have had 2 brothers from what I can see, a Louis and a Patrick?, seems like an odd name to me for an Italian man, but that's what I have in that family bible, one sister, looks like Marianna."....* I was wondering if we could find them and tie them to their Angelo Pinto....I will also see if I can find anything on them....I wouldn't even know how to translate the name Patrick into Italian....As always , any help would be Greatly Appreciated !

I came across this which I think could be the right Marianna , but i am not sure given my limited access to records....If you notice the record list both a Vincenso and a Gennaro , but I don't know who they are or how they fit in .

Patrick was often used for Pasquale (but don't ask me why!) :-)

I was unable to find a record for Marianna Pinto arriving on the Verona in 1909 on the Ellis Island web site (and the closest arrival, 8/14/1909, did not have any manifest images). However, there's an interesting passenger record from 1908 for that ship involving a Marianna and Luigi Pinto:

Does the name Emilio De Marco ring any bells with your friend?

From what I can find on Google, Pasquale can be translated into Patrick.

More information has come to light....Marianna Pinto was married in the U.S. to a Spinelli....I found this Death Record for a child from 1910 named Teresa Spinelli which list her parents as Carmine Spinelli and Marianna Pinto (Spinelli)....I think this might be the right Marianna .

This might be the family:

If that's it, Marianna is said to have gone to America in 1892

Several Pinto's arrived on the same ship in 1892: There is a Marianna Pinto on line 74 who is not a good fit agewise with the census record you found. But there is a Maria Pinto on line 72 who is a good match agewise.

The information was posted above....I forgot to mention that with help it was determined that the wife of the Matteo Pinto that I am looking for was name Anna M. on a ship manifest , I assume it's Anna Maria....My friend also indicated that she had heard the surname Monzo tied to her family , but wasn't sure if it was tied to her Pinto side , Tomasco side or both , since they all came from Casal Velino....I see Monzo listed in the first record....Can someone determine the wife of these 2 Matteo Pinto ?....I will also look through online records that I have access too....Thank You !

Am I reading this correctly....In the first record the parents are listed as Antonio Pinto and Teresa Monzo and in the second record the parents are listed as Gennaro and Maria Pinto , omitting her maiden name ?
