Hello!
I was wondering if I could ger some help finding info about my family.
I have tracked back the family with certainty until my GGGF, whose name is Vincenzo Pasquale, was maried to Angela Carlozzi and was the father of Domenico Pasquale, born in 1875 in Matrice, Campobasso.
It seems like my GGF came to Brasil alone and we had no records of the rest of the family.
Yesterday I found some family tree on MyHeritage that has a Matteo Pasquale, father of a Vincenzo Pasquale who was maried to a Angela Maria Carlozzi, in the same city, and with dates that match my GGF birth year. Vincenzo would be born in 1847 and Matteo around 1819.
With this info I could go back until 1727.
The problem is that in that tree, my GGF wasn't listed. His supposedly brthers and sisters were there, and there was a blank in the years he was born. His eldest brother was born in 1872 and the next child in 1877.
I believe that whoever did the tree was not aware of his existency because he moved alone at a young age. But I would like to be certain. Is there anyway of doing it?
I have Domenico birth certficate, but his GP are not listed. Is there a way to obtain the death ceetificate of Matteo with his children listed or something?
Thank you all for the help, I have been going from site to site trying to find something and I could not.
Appreciate the help!

Re: Information/confirmation on Pasquale family - Matrice, Campobasso
Wow! Thank you!!
I had the information but not the docs!
The family tree i found had all these names, but not my Ggf Domenico. He was missing!
With the docs my belief that he was just forgotten is confirmed and its the same family!!!
Thank you again!!!!
Is there any way to keep goi g back without the dates? After your posts I tried to find the docs back and back, but there are too many docs to look at them all. It there and index or another site similar to this?

In searching Italian civil records you have birth(nati) death(morte) marriage (matrimoni) by year most go from 1866-1910 some towns have other years. Indexes are found at the beginning or end of the year you are searching by index number and surname. There are also multi year indexes which combine 5 or 10 years of indexes
Babies are born then presented to the civil official of the town usually within a few days of birth for entry in the birth registry. If there is a problem and they cant register the birth act until much later they are entered in the Parte 2 for that year usually in the rear of the records and that record is usually handwritten. Sometimes there are sidenotes with marriage or death information or if the act has a mistake in it a correction to those mistakes
Marriage records include birth town, ages, occupations, parents names, if they are deceased
Death records have age parents if they were married and to whom and usually town of birth
Civil records are signed by the civil official and 2 witnesses not usually family members
The indexes for the churches in Italy of baptism and marriage and death are arranged by first name first (later years last name first) by year and date of the act and page and record number. Just find your person in the index and go back to the records to find the act you
