Hi,Marty........Wondered if you have any information on the other side of my family my grandfather is Salvatore Galati born in Cinisi Palermo 1896 -1980 married Giovanna Leone born 1900 -1964 Cinisi.Thier children were Vincenzo, Pietra,Vito, Giuseppina and Maria who died in her early 20's before the year 1951 as I was named after her.My mother is Pietra Galati she married Alfonso Giacona in Cinisi Palermo 2/10/1949 she was born 16.10.1926.my family emigrated to England in the 1950's and my uncle Vito emigrated to the USA Brooklyn I think around the same time.I've been told my GGGP were Salvatore Galati and Francesco Norello. Vito Leone and Maria Pellerito. Regards Maria.

Could you please find out if Salvatore Giacona born 1845 - 1909 born Cinisi married Maria Galati born 1854 -1920 my great Nonna in 1873 Cinisi if he was married before or after her as I've come across him married to Francesca Lo Jacona and also Providenza Giacona ?

He was definitely not married prior to his marriage to Maria Galati in 1873.
In the first publication of banns of marriage (#21 on the left) there is no indication that he was a widower.
