My wifes Great Grandparents arrived in London from Cassino to marry in 1900. His name was Juarez Tamburrini, and according to the 1901 Census, quite a few other Tamburrini's popped up in that particular area of London at the same time.
I have 2 questions.
1. Is there any way of checking ships passenger lists?
2. Would you know the name / address of the records office in Cassino so that we may write to them?
Thanks in advance
Steve Bracewell

Re: Tamburrini's from Cassino to London 1900
UPDATE>>>>>>>
Sorry about this... My wife has gathered information from living relatives, and at that time, it seemed to point to Cassino, however... after searching for Tamburrini's in Cassino, there don't seem to be many that originated from there.
Atina seems to be the place that a lot of Tamburrini's came from.. and I understand it's in the same reigon?? please excuse my lack of knowledge about Italian reigons and provinces.
So - to sum up.. Cassino is what she was told, but Atina seems to be the hub of Tamburrini activity.
Don't know if this helps at all...
Steve.

Ok, Steve,
Let's start again! Here's the link for the Tamburrini's from Ellis Island.
http://stevemorse.org/goulnik/match1.ph ... &dwpdone=1
Have a look and see if anything clicks. Also, would you like to post here, or in your previous post? It will be easier to just use one thread so we don't duplicate information.
Someone may be able to post for the records office in Cassino.

Reply: no, because the italians immigrant in England, well only last part of the travel in order to catch up England was made via sea with small boats that did not have fleeting lists....
If in Cassino no born and if you think that perhaps was born in Atina you can send a email to
comuneatinaffarigenerali @ tin.it
or to write a letter to:
Ufficio di Stato Civile
Piazza Volsci - Atina Inferiore
03042 Atina (FR)
Italy

Hello Steve
I know this comment comes to you 14 years later, and I don't know if you'll still be on this site, but I've recently found great-grandads name, which happens to be the same as your wife's family...think we are related. His name was Juarez Tamburrini and came from Monte Cassino, his wife's surname was Volante.
