Luco dei Marsi records

Hoping someone has some answer to where the records for the comune of Luco dei Marsi are located.

I was searching Antenati for a family member on her Persia blood line in comune of Civitella Roveto in L'Aquila.

This led to one of her great grandmothers, Domenica D'ANGELO, who passed in Civitella but was born June 4 1834 in "LUCO" as it just states. I have her alternate birth record from marriage records of Civitella but, can't seem to determine why Luco or Luco dei Marsi is not listed among the cities in the L'Aquila province where it should be (or so I thought).

I checked the comune of Avezzano which is the closest apparently but no corresponding record for a birth of Domenica D'Angelo >>> parents Francesco (1794-1834) and Carolina Sabatini (1802 - ?) and paternal grandparents, also Francesco (c 1740 - 1802) and Maria di Berardino.


Domenica D'Angelo was born 1834 and married Francesco Ferdinando Persia born 1832 in the year1857 in Civitella Roveto. Francesco F's parents were Filippo (1806) and Francesca Boccia (1804) - still trying to locate their marriage.

Thanks Marty - Yes I had those documents from Civetella records. I appreciate the time you took.

What I was really trying to figure out is where the actual records for Luco are, as they don't seem to appear in the Atenati list of comune in L'Aquila.

You are right however...the records for the restoration period are missing for Luco. I think this must be an administrative error or the documents were never passed on to the state archives. You should try contacting the office of the anagrafe direct in Luco dei Marsi (they have copies of all the records from 1809 to present), as you already have the birth date this should be fairly straightforward for them.
