What does 'uff 1' and 'uff 2' mean for sections in Palermo city?

Post by LC304 »

My 1st post, please forgive any errors in the process.

I have lists of births in Palermo City and there is a column which appears to be the 'section' within Palermo. I have figured out all of them except the sections uff 1 and uff 2.

Does anyone know what these refer to?

Thank you in advance.

Welcome to IG website

The abbreviations "uff 1" and "uff 2" refer to the civil registration offices in Palermo, "office #1" and "office #2.
