S. Eustachio in Tocco da Casauria

Post by jbrusa »

Does anyone know an email address for the church of S. Eustachio in Tocco da Casauria, Pescara, Abruzzo? I tried to find it with internet searches, but I was unsuccessful. Alternatively, what is the best way to get a copy of a death record from this church?

Thank you for any information you can provide.

Hi there!

The priest is Don Michele Persichitti...You might have to just call him to ask for his email address if you speak a bit of Italian he will undoubtedly try to help you. They tend to keep email addresses like a well guarded secret. His phone number is: +39 085 880532

Otherwise you can contact the church headoffice, which is the archdiocese in Pescara and ask for Don Michele's email address: http://www.diocesipescara.it/contact-info

The people here in Abruzzo tend to deal mostly by telephone however and sometimes won't even look at an email let alone respond to it!

Good luck anyway. I hope you manage to make contact!!

Thanks for the correction mmogno, but I believe Tocco da Casauria is in the province of Pescara. Is it under the archdiocese of Chieti-Vasto? Why would that be? I would be interested to know if you know something I don't. Thanks very much!

lcmor: You are right about responding to email, and I'm not confident enough in my Italian to call on the phone. I looked at the web page provided by mmogno (above) and it seems to me that there are several churches in Tocco da Casauria. Do you know if death records from the 18th century are kept at each of these churches (if they existed at that time), or would all the records be kept at S. Eustachio?

Thank you for any information you can provide.
