Hi
I am searching for my Italian great grandfather I have had useful help from gente di mare but really have hit a brick wall in Italy as have no accurate name or parents or place of birth
I decided to do more research here in uk to see if I could find required information and was surprised to find him on the electoral register in Bolton lancs uk
Legally to be on this register you have to be naturalised but I can’t find any info on this
Then I was told maybe he served in ww1 in the British army and was naturalised this way but again I can’t find any information
Has any one else had an Italian serve in British army ww1 any help would be gratefully received
Many thanks
