Fluri/DeFluri/DiFluri
Fluri/DeFluri/DiFluri
Hello, I'm looking for any records on information about the Fluri/DiFluri/DeFluri surname. So far I've been able to trace my lineage to a man named Joseph (Giuseppe) Fluri/DiFluri. From what I've gathered his parents names were Genarro and Rose Camanara. From the records I've seen he is from St. Nazaro Italy and came to America on or around March 12, 1888. His wife was Jennie Dalisanti and I know they had at least one son named Anthony. They settled in Hazleton Pa and I believe he owned a lumbar yard, but I'm not 100% sure on that. So again any records or information about my family would be greatly appreciated!

Jennie's mother Anella' di Blasi della Santi's 1927 death record. Father Ralph Raffaele; mother Elisabetta Valiante. I'm fairly certain that the di Blasi and delli Santi families were also from San Nazario/San Mauro la Bruca

This is Joseph Di Fluri's first wife Dora's 1921 death certificate; looks like she was the older sister of Jennie delli Santi.

Alter Street, Hazelton PA, where Giuseppe Di Fluri and wife Jennie and family lived. Immigrants from San Mauro la Bruca/San Nazario founded Our Lady of Grace church. Hazelton's sister city is San Nazario/San Mauro. Each August the San Mauro Festival is celebrated on Alter Street.

I hope so too. Since my paternal and maternal Italian grandparents also settled in the anthracite coal area of northeastern Pennsylvania, I put a little extra into helping fellow "coal crackers."
