I am looking for information about my great grandparents who came from Patrica, Italy. Vincenzo Conti was born August 12, 1875 and Teresa (Belli?) was born March 21, 1881. Teresa was a twin. The family story is that her parents could not afford to raise both children so she was given up for adoption. She somehow knew who her father was and that he had red hair, like her own. He baked bread in outdoor ovens in Italy. This is truly all I know about them before they came to America in 1917 and settled in Ambridge, Pennsylvania. They had 10 children, several of which were born in Patrica before coming to America. Those children were:
Everardo b. 1901
Romeo b. 1904
Wilhemina (Vitolmina) b. 1907
Willis (Ulisse) b. 1909
Ubardo (Arch) b. 1912
Eugene b. 1915
Walter, Arthur, Robert, and Dorothy were born in America. Teresa was pregnant with Walter while coming over on the boat.
I would love to be able to trace our family heritage further, but have hit a wall when trying to trace outside of their time in Pennsylvania. I would love to know about their lives in Patrica as well as their heritage.

Civil records didn't begin until 1871 in Patrica and before that you need parish records which have to be searched in person at the Diocese archivies in Ferentino on Wednesdays. There are 4 parishes. The Comune is very difficult to get records from!
