searching Spingola in America

Hello, my name is Maddalena Spingola and I'm from Verbicaro, Calabria.
I'm trying to find out if there are any relatives of mine in America.
I know that my grandfather and his brother went in America from Ellis Island and this are the information that I found:

Gentilino (or Gentile) Spingola (my grandfather)
Date of Arrival: August 17th,1910
Age: 19 years old
Ship of travel: Sant'Anna

Alessio Spingola (his brother)
Date of Arrival: August 9th, 1906
Age: 21
Ship of travel: Nord America


My grandfather went back in Italy, but his brother stayed here. I know that many years ago some relatives of Alessio went in Italy but someone told them that there were no relatives in Verbicaro.

Note also in Alessio's 1906 record that he was going to his brother Biagio who was in Hoboken NJ.

Alessio (a merchant) and his family took a trip home and then returned to Montreal, Canada in this record.

His father-in-law Cerimele Vito was contact in Italy

You may also want to take a look at Francesco (Frank) Spingola who may be a sibling or cousin to your GF.

He married in 1903 in New York and lists his parents as Francesco & Carmela Severuco

He came to the USA at age 14 in 1893 on the Elysia. His hometown is listed as Verbicaso --no location found for this and I assume it is a typo for your hometown."United States Italians to America Inde ... Maryland.

Wow! So many informations! I may have found some Alessio's relatives in Canada. Thank you to all of you for the help
