re:atti di nati in castella della furia messina

i checked both the www.antenati@beniculturali.it and lds family search sites. i notice neither has records for castanea della furia,a tiny comune close to messina and possibly one of the villagi di messina,that continue after 1865. just the records found at the state archive in messina. looking for nati for biaggio lentini b.1892 and wife caterina barbera b.1891. i believe the years are accurate. they married in boston in 1911 which is where i found the birth years. i'm hoping years after 1865 might be found in another collection,possibly the villaggi di messina collection,which collects records for many of the tiny comunes adjacent to messina itself. i've researched this collection in the past,and the problem is,theres no alphabetical order to it. castanea della furia should follow comunes beginning with a and b but thats not the case. castanea della furia could follow a comune beginning with m or n. theres no particular order or system. its all over the place. once you find the comune the years may follow in order,but it takes forever to find the comune youre researching with no system. maybe someone out there knows better than i how the system works,and how to avoid having to go through tons of pages. i see 2897 pages listed for that collection. possibly their organized by year and not alphabetically. any help in finding this information most appreciated.

Hi there! Some of the state archives don't hold records after 1865, which is why these documents haven't yet been uploaded. You can contact the comune directly for any documents after 1865. Castanea della Furia, is a 'frazione' (hamlet) within the wider comune of Messina so you would need to contact them: ufficioanagrafe@comune.messina.it

thanks. i already knew all that but i was hoping these records were readily accessible online. i think theyre in the villaggi di messina collection at family search, as i went to the family search site and found villaggi(villages) of messina and nati,matrimoni,and morti for years long after 1865,but there was some technical glitch that wouldn't allow me to access them. i'll try again.
