I am trying to find out about my Grand mother. Her name was Francesca Carella. She was born in Polarmo in about 1895 Came to the U S in Dec. of 1916. She married my grand father Rosario DiMaggio in New York in 1917. I know of a Sister who was a Nun. And I think she may have had a brother.Paolino. Her Father's name could have been Domenico. Do not know about her mother.

Sorry it has taken me so long to say thank you all for all you have done.
If I am not asking to much I will return again with more questions later. But for now I am trying to find out when and were Domenico settled in the US. Ship records indicate he was already here when my grand mother (Francesca) came in 1917.
