Birth Baptism Anything?

Post by SKimbrel818 »

Can anything be found for Stephano Concordia in Torino 1865?
90% sure that was his name and year of birth but forgive my uncertainty because he was an Orphan in Torino and his name was lost with immigration.

His name shouldn't hve been lost. Did you find the ship manifest, naturalization record. You have posted this before I believe.

No nothing can be found. But a man in Brazil with the last name Concordia had a lawyer search and believes we are family. Yes I have posted the story but did not have a name. naturalization only shows American name. Nothing shows the italian name. I need an Italian record to confirm. I am trying everything, writing the archdiocese and Archives asking for oprhanage records, dna testing....nothing has been found yet.

American names he went by were Joe Sefeno and then at Naturalization, he was Given the name Steve Concord. To which he replied "they gave me Another name"

I think he May have been Stephano Concordia but have nothing to confirm.

Alabama...the Census go from Save Concord to Joe Sefeno to Steve Concord back and forth
He constantly stated Torino and was in an orphanage until age 3.
US records are No help. I have them all and they do not lead to any Italian records. Family story is
that he was a stowaway on the immigration ship. I have searched ellis island for any variation and cant find anything that strongly matches.

Are those two combined enough to say he was Serafino Concordia?

And now can birth record be found or military? birth year 1862?
