Bussolini family from Pavia

Over 25 million Italians have emigrated between 1861 and 1960 with a migration boom between 1871 and 1915 when over 13,5 million emigrants left the country for European and overseas destinations.

Bussolini family from Pavia

Post by jjuann88 »

Hello everyone,

My great grandfather Giovanni Bussolini was Born in Pavia in 1874. He emigrated together with his parents (Carlos Bussolini born in 1842 and Rosa Bolonieri, both from Pavia) to Argentina probably during 1880´s. From the documents I have I only know they were from Pavia, but I don't know from which commune. From Familysearch I found several documents from Argentina (marriage and baptism certificates) but they only mention Italy as their origin. Is there any way to trace the commune where he might been registered? Im trying to find his birth certificate..
Thanks in advanced for any help you could provide.

Thank you very much. By chance can you tell me the name of his parents? (if they appear written). I cannot understand the handwritting.

Thanks for your help!

The father is Luigi Baccalini and the mother looks like Luigina. Can't read her last name.

Individual records and indices for Pavia are available online at familysearch.org, if you want to search for someone.

Edit to Add: I'm understanding that the poster is looking for the surnames Bussolini and Bolonieri.

So, that's the wrong person but great job translating the mother's name. As mentioned, the records are available online if the inquisitor is ambitious.
