Hi!
Cataforio is not a Comune, it is part of the town of Reggio Calabria.
So, you should contact the Ufficio Stato Civile of Reggio Calabria.
I could not find an ordinary email address, but only "certified" email, that can't be contacted from abroad by an ordinary email. However, maybe someone can find an ordinary email...
If you can speak Italian, you can call "Ufficio certificazioni stato civile, annotazioni, archivio": + 39 0965.3622420
or write to

Comune di Reggio Calabria
Ufficio Stato Civile
Palazzo San Giorgio
Piazza Italia, 1
89125 - Reggio Calabria

Cataforio has been a "Comune" until 1927, when it was merged with Reggio Calabria.

It's now part of the XII subdivision of the city (Cannavò Mosorrofa Cataforio).

The e-mail address of the local registry office is: circoscrizione12@comune.reggio-calabria.it.
