Question about descent through grandparents

Hello everyone,

I currently have an appointment to submit my application for Italian citizenship at the Toronto consulate sometime next year.

I plan on applying through my grandmother, who gave birth to my father while she was an Italian citizen.

My question is do I need all the required documents for both of my grandparents, or just the grandparent I am applying through?
