A name change???

My Grandfather was Francesco Antonio DeLucia born in Cervino. However as I research thanks to this site, I find that in 1910 his name was changed to Sposito (attached). I don't understand this so looking for some help. In his Marriage certificated he did use DiLucia Sposito for his name (Attached). His Father was Antonio as shown in the birth record and his Mother was Maria Grazie Rivetti. I have been able to track Grandma Maria way back with no trouble but can't find any records on Antonio. Would his name have been Sposito? Am I missing something? Your help as always would be very appreciated .

First of all, do you have other sources that mention him as "Francesco Antonio"? If you just based on the birth record, it says "Francesco di Antonio" (Francesco, son of Antonio).
The, the annotation on the left says the surname has to be read "Sposito", rather than "De Lucia".
It is possible that Francesco's father, Antonio, was a foundling who was raised in a De Lucia family, and successively adopted, but after Francesco's birth.
You should search Antonio's marriage to know more.

Thank you. I have seen Francesco Antonio DeLucia used here in the USA on some of Grandpop Francesco's documents. I understand your suggestion of his Father Antonio being a Foundling and it makes sense. I have not been able to find the Marriage certificate for Antonio and Maria Rivetti. I remember several years in the 1880's weren't available. I will try again. Is it possible to direct me to the correct site to look through these documents? Maybe I'm not looking in the correct spot.
If he was directed to use "Sposito" does that mean the name is Sposito or is it a way to describe someone not a descendant of the family that raised them?

Here is the record that is noted in the margin of Francesco's birth act.

It is #4, in the supplement of births in 1910, and corrects the birth act.
The Di Lucia surname was in error, and his name is Francesco Sposito. The court record was presented by Maria Rivetti to the town clerk to be entered into the book.

And here is the birth act (#34) in 1849 for Antonio Sposito.
Son of Francesco Sposito anf Gelsomina di Lucia.
Interestingly, there isa notation on page two of a tribunale sentence regarding his surname. Not sure if it states that he is to be named Antonio di Lucia Sposito...

It is a sentence of 1886 stating that Antonio's surname had to be read "Di Lucia Sposito".
I see his mother's surname was De Lucia. Maybe an uncle adopted him?
