looking for information about Martino Bottino

Over 25 million Italians have emigrated between 1861 and 1960 with a migration boom between 1871 and 1915 when over 13,5 million emigrants left the country for European and overseas destinations.

ahhh so my find was right! Martino was born in Oneglia,exGenova, now Imperia, IT. Genova was the province pertaining Oneglia. currently is Imperia. To say "natural de Genova" means that he was in Genova province, because Imperia is a more modern province. Genova is also the capital of the Liguria region.
to request the baptism certificate, needs to pay the service, you can write here archivio@diocesidialbengaimperia.it
https://www.diocesidialbengaimperia.it/ ... sano-4270/
in italian language obviously. To specify the use: italian citizenship request, to specify that you wish pay the service; to add a copy of your ID card. To add your address.

I keep looking for more information about Martin Bottino's family in Oneglia and I found the marriage certificate of his brother Giovanni, with Cattarina Ghighlielmi in 1838.
there it is confirmed that he is the son of Leonardo Bottino and Cecilia Demoro, although she had already died that year.

so she was born on 1822, the her brother Giovanni around 1818...
Regarding the case of Martino Bottino's sister, in the notes at the end of the document it says something like: 'she was represented by her brother Giovanni because her father was in America'...Is this correct?

Dear Suanj, I'm going to write an update.
I was finally able to obtain Martino's baptismal certification. He was born in 1824 and not in 1813.
But best of all, I was able to contact an Italian relative, Carlo, a descendant of Giovanni Battista Bottino, Martino's brother.
I believe that all of this would not have been possible without your invaluable help, since at the beginning of this search I only had a name.
