Who is the widower?

I'm having trouble understanding if this is saying that Matteo is the widower of Anna Lucardi or his father, Giacomo Antonio is the widower.

Matteo is the widower of deceased Anna Maria Gucardi. It appears to say "in primo (which is abbreviated) voto"-"in first vote," which I believe in religious terms literally means "in first promise". So, widower from his first marriage to Anna Maria Gucardi.
