My Grandfather Cristofaro Rizzo was born on 13 Feb 1880 Carapepa, Valguarnera Caropepe, Enna, Sicilia, Italy.
Parents were: Salvatore Rizzo Valguarnera, Caropepe, Caltanissetta, Sicilia, Italy) & Filomena Di Dio (Caltanissetta Sicilia, Italy)
I am trying to locate information regarding his brothers & sisters. From the knowledge my mother had, along with a photo of hers, he had a least 2 brothers and 1 sister. He could have had more, but my mother had never mentioned them.
If possible, I'd like to find information on cousins,
Luciano Gulino B:17 February 1879 Valguarnera Caropepe, Enna, Sicilia, Italy
Sincerely,
Lucy

Hi,
let's see, starting from ten-years indexes:
Francesco, born Jun 11, 1882
https://antenati.cultura.gov.it/ark:/12 ... 60/LNqejMO
Then, there is one Giovanna, daughter of Salvatore, born Nov 26, 1876, but the 1876 birth register is missing, so, we don't know if it's the same family.
The same goes for one Giuseppe, son of Salvatore, born on Feb 5, 1878.

Hello Giuseppe "Pippo",
Thank you so very much for this. I do have a photo of my grandfather with his siblings, at the bottom it has names, Francis. My Grandfather, Cristofaro is the man on the right next to his sister.

Re: Looking for my Grandfather Cristofaro Rizzo Siblings & Cousins
Hi Lucy
It looks like someone has already done a lot of work on this family. I located a Family Tree on Family Search, showing nine children born to Salvatore Rizzo and Filomena Di Dio as follows: Andrea (1874), Vincenza (1875), Giuseppe (1878), your Cristoforo (1880), Francesco (1882) which Pippo located, Lucia (1884), Antonino (1886), Giuseppa (1888), Giovanna (1889)
There were birth records included for the children. (For some reason I can’t get back to the source page showing 11 civil records. Hopefully the first four children’s records were included as they are not online.) Amongst the sources was a copy of an 1806 death record for Salvatore Rizzo, giving his parents to be Andrea Rizzo and Gesuela Toscano; husband of Filomena Di Dio. I’ve located the link to original 1906 death record:
https://antenati.cultura.gov.it/ark:/12 ... 15/LDojDNO
Here are the last four children born to Salvatore and Filomena, which were probably included with the tree I saw, but these will be better quality, which you save for your records:
Birth No 203: Lucia Rizzo, daughter of Salvatore Rizzo, 40 yo, contadino, and of Filomena Di Dio, his wife, a filatrice (spinner). Lucia was born 7 April 1884, Via Porta Palermo, No 160, Valguarnera.

Birth No 153: Antonino Rizzo, son of Salvatore Rizzo, 41 yo, contadino, and of Filomena Di Dio, his wife living with him. Antonino was born on 17 March 1886, Via Porta Palermo, no number, Valguarnera.

Birth No 125: Giuseppa Rizzo, daughter of Salvatore Rizzo, contadino and Filomena Di Dio. Giuseppa born on 16 March 1888, Via Garibaldi, No 160, Valguarnera.

Birth No 316: Giovanna Rizzo, daughter of Salvatore Rizzo, 44 yo, contadino, living this town and of Filomena Di Dio, his wife, living with him. Giovanna born on 13 August 1889, 12 noon, Via Casa Comunale, without number.

Here is the source page that I mentioned containing the children's birth records and it looks like it has all of them including Cristoforo: https://www.familysearch.org/tree/perso ... s/LJTM-J64
Edit to add: It's just missing Andrea's 1874 birth record.

Have you seen the following on Family Search pertaining to Luciano Gulino: https://www.familysearch.org/tree/perso ... s/GKP9-5MC
It includes a photo of wife Annunziata Mazzurco as well. Just click on the different features.
It states his date of birth but I can't see a copy of his birth record which isn’t on the antenati site either. The tree has his parents as Cristofero Gulino and Rosaria Rizzo......
Check my previous two posts here which you may not have seen.

Re: Looking for my Grandfather Cristofaro Rizzo Siblings & Cousins
Hi Angela,
Thank you so much!
I did notice on the picture that there is a Francis Rizzo. I always thought it was my grandfather's brother. But I have not found any Francis Rizzo, other than my cousin Frank, but he was born in 1948, in the United States.
Again, thank you so much for all your help!
Warmest regards always,
Lucy

Hello Angela,
Would you be able to guide me as to how I would find any of the off-spring of my grandfather's siblings? I would love to be able to connect with some of them.
Warmest regards,
Lucy

Hi Lucy
Why don’t you try contacting the person who owns the tree. That might be a good start. It looks she has been at this for a while. She might be interested to know what you have located as well.
