Hello,
I'm looking to request military records and draft records for two ancestors.
But they're both from provinces that changed and I'm unsure of who would hold those records.
I've tried reading through the antenati.cultura.gov.it website and their lists of which state archive holds what - but I'm so very confused. Any help would be greatly appreciated
GGfather was born in Antrodoco in 1887. I have a US military documentation that says he did serve in the Italian military before moving to North America around age 23. Since Antrodoco is now in Rieti and while he was serving was in L'Aquila, who would I write to?
Also, GGuncle born in San Vittore (del Lazio) in 1892. Did not serve, and I believe he moved to the US before or around turning 19. San Vittore was in Casserta at the time, but is now in Frozinone. Again, I'm confused by which state archive should I query? For him, I doubt there's much more than the draft registries - but he's a brick wall in our genealogy, and any info will help.
Thank you~!

Hello!
For San Vittore, you can check the "ruoli matricolari" here:
https://archiviodistatofrosinone.cultur ... ei-fondi-c
As to Antrodoco, the "liste di leva" should be kept in Rieti, and the "Ruoli matricolari" in L'Aquila, but they are not online.
