Hello, I am have recently been approved for dual citizenship.
How does one apply for a passport in Italy? My Court case has been approved, my records have been registered with the local commune of origin.
Thank you!

Re: Applying for Passport in Italy
If you are living in the US it's better to ask the passport at your local Italian consulate, not necessary to come to Italy (unless you come to stay permanently or at least an enough long period).
The comune has no competence, the passport is issued by the Questura
(Police Headquarters) of the province of residence and in general is not issued quickly.
But you really need the passport?
Not all Italians have it, in Europe it's still necessary only for Great Britain, Russia and Bielorussia.
But if you have the US passport you may continue to use that, while in Europe it's more important to have the
Carta d'identità, used as Identification document and equivalent to a passport to enter to many Countries.

In more detail:
The Carta d'identità is valid to enter and also be resident in the 27
States of the European Union, and also others (ex. Switzerland), as a tourist also in others again, even outside Europe.
