cante due

As a nation state, Italy has emerged only in 1871. Until then the country was politically divided into a large number of independant cities, provinces and islands. The currently available evidences point out to a dominant Etruscan, Greek and Roman cultural influence on today's Italians.

cante due

Post by trani-destito »

whenever someone in the family was complaining, moaning or whining about something, my father in law would always look at them and in a bit of a sing song voice, say to them " Cante Due". I'm sure it's not spelled that way in Italian, but when I asked him what it meant, he laughed and said "sing" Can anyone clarify?

Canti tu -- means "you sing"...
