Italian birth/bautism certificate doesn't show maternal surname

[Gigi40]

Hello!

My Italian ancestor's birth certificate says Virgilio Mario Garibaldi where it should say Virgilio Mario Garibaldi Falco, so it is missing his mother's surname Falco. How do I go about fixing/adding Falco to the birth certificate? where? Thanks a lot! G

Hi,

Is it an Italian birth record?
If so, an Italian birth act never shows the mother’s surname next to the father’s but only the father’s one.
In Italy we only carry the paternal surname.
Details of the mother are listed in the act itself.

Could we see it?
