Donato Santoro b. 12 or 14 Aug 1882 or 1888 Genzano di Lucanio, Potenza d. 1962 in Waterbury, CT? married between 1912 or 1913 in Italy? To Lucia Lomuto or Lumoti b. 7 Aug 1887 or 1888 possibly in Lagopesole Italy per oral history. d.25 Jan 1982 in Waterbury, CT.

Links for manifest S.S. Taormina sailing from Naples on 26 March 1913 to NY. Lin
Line10 Donato Santoro, Line 11 wife Lomuto/Lucia both age 20. Nearest relative in Italy Carmela?, Final destination Waterbury, CT to brother??? Abbott Avenue, Waterbury.

Living at Abbott Avenue, Waterbury is Leonard Santoro b.1864-1867 Italy
d. 6 APR 1932 Waterbury, CT USA. I can’t find his birth record or other paper trail that verifies Donato and Leonard are brothers. Leonard's obit doesn't mention Donato as brother Donato who is believed to have died in 1962.

Donato is seen traveling from Naples to NY unmarried leaving on the SS Cedric 6 Mar 1907.
Line 18 Donato Santoro, with Line 19 Celestino Cappalletta his cousin? b. abt 1865 San Marco la Catola, Foggia, Puglia, Italy d. Unknown

They are going to cousin/brother Vincenzo Cappalletta, Waterbury, CT. He was born 1869 San Marco la Catola, Foggia, Puglia, Italy.

1908 Waterbury, CT City Directory indicates Celestino removed to Chicago, IL. From there I lose him.

1908 Waterbury, CT City Directory indicated Vincenzo removed to California. From there I lose him and can’t connect the Cappelletti brothers to the Santoro family.

My hope is to find Donato Santoro and his wife Lucia’s family in Italy. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Eileen

Can someone kindly tell me if this is the same Giuseppe mentioned above the father of Domenico and Donato Santoro? I think I see his wife Grazia di Bono mentioned.

https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903 ... 547&i=1641

Not not sure what I am reading. This is my take- Giuseppe Santoro son of Donato died at age 60 in 1938. His parents are Donato Santoro a locksmith from Genzano and Barbato Maria Rosaria. I see Avigliano listed but not sure of any of this.

Anyone who could translate with details would be greatly appreciated if this the same Giuseppe mentioned above the father of twins Donato and Domenico Santoro.

Thank you for any help you can provide.

Not not sure what I am reading. This is my take- Giuseppe Santoro son of Donato died at age 60 in 1904. His parents are Donato Santoro a blacksmith from Genzano and deceased Maria Rosaria Barbato. I see Avigliano listed but not sure of any of this. (see translation below)

They reported that at 7.05 am today (16 September 1904) in via Carlo Poerio, No 29, Giuseppe Santoro died. He was 60 yo, a fabbro (blacksmith), born and residing in Genzano, the son of Donato (Santoro), also a blacksmith, and of the deceased Maria Rosaria Barbato, a donna di casa, who had lived in Avigliano when living. Giuseppe was the widower of Grazia Di Bono.

Witnesses to the registration were Michele Giordano, 54 yo, and Gerardo Basso 56 yo, both gravediggers (becchini).

This document mentions and of deceased Maria Rosaria Barbato, who had lived in Avigliano when living.

Does the mention of lived in Avigliano suggest she Maria Rosaria Barbato Santoro was born there, married there or died there? I'm not sure where to go to look for records related to her. Any feedback would be welcomed.
Thank you,
Eileen
